Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
This photography workshop is meticulously designed with a deep, proactive respect for the Slovenian landscape, prioritizing a low-impact approach that proves travel can be both immersive and responsible. By remaining based in a single, strategic location for the entire duration of the trip, we drastically reduce the carbon emissions typically associated with multi-hotel tours. Instead of long, daily commutes, we focus on short-distance travel to nearby sites, ensuring our environmental footprint remains as small as possible while maximizing the time you spend behind the lens. Our dedication to the planet extends to our dining table, where we exclusively source seasonal food and premium wines directly from local farmers and boutique producers. This "km zero" philosophy eliminates the need for long-haul industrial transport and supports regenerative agricultural practices. Furthermore, we maintain a strict policy against single-use plastics, providing alternatives to plastic bottles to keep Slovenian waterways pristine. By operating as a completely paperless organization, we replace traditional printed brochures and itineraries with streamlined digital resources, ensuring that the only thing we leave behind in these ancient forests and historic towns is a legacy of conservation.People
Our commitment to the people of Slovenia is the heartbeat of this experience, as we believe that photography should be a bridge to understanding rather than a mere act of observation. We intentionally partner with family-run accommodations, traditional village restaurants, and independent, multi-generational winemakers to ensure that the economic benefits of our journey remain within the local community. Beyond the technical aspects of photography, we place a heavy emphasis on cultural education, teaching our guests the profound history, symbolism, and etiquette surrounding the Korant spirits and Slavic mythology. By guiding our groups into the lesser-known, rural corners of the country, we bring the advantages of responsible tourism to "off-the-beaten-path" regions that genuinely benefit from sustainable visitor income. Most importantly, we actively participate in the preservation of heritage by providing direct financial donations to the local performers and mask-makers. These contributions support the artisans who maintain these ancient costumes and traditions, honoring the rare privilege they extend to us by inviting our cameras into their most intimate and sacred inner circles.Popular similar holidays
