In the coffee region there are many initiatives put in place to improve the environmental factors of the coffee industry, such as agroforestry where the coffee is grown under the shade of trees helping to maintain biodiversity, protect water sources, and improve soil health. Whilst visiting Colombia there are plenty of opportunities to explore the local towns and artisans therefore supporting the local economy.
