CARBON REDUCTIONThis tour, being a Family Trip, it is perfect for carbon reduction! On your way you can see that all our transportation is with electric vehicles, minimizing fuel-based transportation. This itinerary focus on walking, hiking, and biking activities, including ascending Monserrate in Bogotá, exploring the magical Salt Cathedral, and hiking through Barichara, accompanied by expert local guides.
This trip includes two domestic flights. The reason why we include domestic flights instead of bus or another type of transportation as a firts option is because the distances in Colombia are extensive and these journeys in specific are very long (12 hours or more by land, if we add these two trips by land would be a whole day only traveling, even more time adding some stops for comfort, food, observing the landscape, etc.), and would not be as comfortable as the rest of the trip, where for example the other transfers are 3-4 hours long. Despite this, we can offer transfer by land, but it is completely up to the client.
All trips are fully customizable, with vegetarian and vegan options always available. Local restaurants are carefully selected, ensuring that all ingredients are sourced directly from nearby farms, providing an authentic experience rooted in the traditions of local communities.
ENVIROMENT AND WILDLIFE
Accommodations are sustainably operated. While some hotels in larger cities belong to small, growing local chains, we prioritize national and local businesses of high quality to ensure a responsible and immersive experience. Additionally, 1% of each package purchase is invested in our reforestation projects across Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador. We are currently working with Bioconservancy Foundation in Colombia, and starting partnerships with Saving Nature and Tree Nation, to reforest our destinations and leave a good footprint.
Our guides explain to our clientes educational talks about local wildlife, highlighting how species coexist in their habitats and offering guidelines for respectful interactions. By addressing issues like species endangerment, our tours raise awareness and foster a sense of responsibility among travelers. Yo will se a lot of endemic species throughout this trip, and it is important to us to asure the best conditions not only for your experience, but also to preserve the well-being of our precious animals.

LOCAL ECONOMYAccommodations on this trip are owned by locals who have gradually enhanced their facilities through tourism. Colombia's national policies on waste reduction and recycling complement this effort, and our approach supports small-scale, sustainable development.
Our activities actively contribute to the local economy, from visiting Bogotá’s traditional markets to exploring artisan stalls and sampling local delicacies. Travelers are guided through experiences like tasting sessions of national products and engaging with local museum exhibits or independent guides, enriching their cultural understanding while directly supporting communities.
On the coastal segments of the trip, fresh, farm-to-table cuisine is featured in restaurants managed by local families. This ensures travelers enjoy memorable culinary experiences that further support the regional economy.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
All our operators and guides are Colombian experts deeply familiar with the local communities. This trip is inclusive and welcomes travelers of all backgrounds, regardless of sexual orientation, religion, or race. Each experience is tailored to individual needs.
Our employees work under formal contracts, guaranteeing fair compensation and legal benefits. This ensures that our operations not only provide high-quality services but also support ethical employment practices, fostering diversity and inclusivity throughout our tours.
Finally, as part of our commitment to making a positive impact, a portion of the proceeds from this tour is dedicated to our social project in collaboration with the Poderosas Foundation. This organization provides comprehensive and quality sexual education to girls and teenagers. Additionally, it supports single mothers and women facing vulnerability, empowering them to rebuild their lives and provide for their families.
