The itineraries we create are guided by three aims: looking after the places we visit, supporting local communities and helping our guests travel responsibly. To do this, we work with a local team on the ground who share our values.

Visits to national parks and protected areas, such as Iguazú Falls and the Iberá Wetlands, include park entry fees, which help fund the running of the parks. Many of the activities are on foot or by kayak, including walking tours and hikes. Excursions run in small groups, which means fewer vehicles on the road and less pressure on busy sites. On the trails, that means taking all rubbish out, sticking to marked paths and keeping a respectful distance from wildlife.

Throughout the trip, local guides explain the landscapes and wildlife you're seeing, from the rainforest around Iguazú to the coastline of Península Valdés, and share practical tips on how to reduce your impact while you're there.

We choose small, locally owned accommodation wherever possible, including family-owned estancias and lodges close to the wildlife areas you've come to see.

People

People are at the heart of everything we do. All our operations are local, from suppliers and transfers to guides, which means employment for residents and storytelling rooted in Argentine culture.

You'll get to know the country through local guides, walking tours of Buenos Aires neighbourhoods and stays on family-owned estancias, where you can see rural Argentine traditions first hand. The hotels on this itinerary buy from local producers and cook with local, seasonal food, supporting farmers and nearby suppliers.

In Misiones, Yacutinga Lodge works closely with the Mbyá Guaraní community, many of whom are employed by the lodge. The lodge also runs projects that give families other sources of income, such as honey production.
