The summit of Aitana was a special moment, but so many memorable times. All the hiking was wonderful and Jose was a brilliant guide and don’t of knowledge.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
If you are a competent mountain hiker and unafraid of some good challenges (particularly in the winter months given potential for variable weather) and you like being in nature, simple wholesome food then this could be for you.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, particularly if you don’t fly specifically to do it. The holiday is run by a small family business and a locally owned small pension hotel. Everything felt low key and reasonably sustainable.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The small, family owned hotel benefitted from our trip. Our guide was very aware of environmental impact and careful to ensure nothing was left behind at our lunch stops etc4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Standing at the top of Serrella peak in the wind, with long views all around. Two griffon vultures were circling above, inspecting us... and it was lunchtime.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
You need to be able to climb rough paths at a moderate pace. It's mountains: bring warm and waterproof clothing, just in case.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Very much so. The local company (our guide, his partner and his brother) is based in a village about 10miles from the accommodation; the accommodation is also owned and run by a family; the transfers used local taxis/minibuses and our group meal out was in a restaurant nearby.4. Bring comfortable walking boots and good blister plasters... comfortable walking socks. Warmer clothes than you expect. Ear plugs and plug in mosquito repellent. WiFi is bad so bring entertainment or use data roaming.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It was good to stay in a local independent hotel and have local guides. We stayed in one place so not too much traveling was required.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
