We are very grateful to you for taking the time to leave a review and are pleased to read that you enjoyed your time in the Dolomites overall. On the other hand, we were concerned to learn that it fell short of our high standards for responsible travel, as we take great pride in this aspect of our operations, evidenced by our Sustainability Champion Award at this year's Which? Awards. Our partners at Hotel Adler have assured us that guests are encouraged to reuse towels and use tupperware rather than single-use plastic for lunches and whilst we are confident that this is effective, we are sorry if it was not visible during your stay. We understand that you were also disappointed with aspects of the transportation used during your trip and felt that more could have been done to reduce emissions. Unfortunately, due to the last-minute change to your arrival arrangements, we were unable to use our standard sized vehicle for this journey and had to use an alternative vehicle, which we acknowledge was not ideal. In terms of using two vehicles of 8 seats each during the trip itself, this is because group sizes vary, up to a maximum of 16 passengers, and if we have a smaller group, we are able to eradicate the need for a second vehicle. We hope this demonstrates that we are committed to making this trip responsible, but we are constantly looking for ways to improve in this area, and have drawn your concerns to the attention our Sustainability Manager.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

This was my first walking tour in Europe. The mountains in Dolomites are really stunning and fantastic. Group mates got along very well, tour leader Alex is experienced and nice, and the weather all made the trip wonderful.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Walking in late September, do wear in layers. We kept putting on and taking off jacket along the walk.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We stayed in a family run hotel in a village, Villabassa, and we used local transportation. I trust our holiday benefited local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

My holiday was really good. And I look forward to joining another tour.
