1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The escape to the quiet islands of Koh Mak and Koh Kood were relaxing. We enjoyed using the motorbike to get around the island, scuba, and delectable thai seafood dishes.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We stayed in mostly resorts which had local staff. I'm not sure how our presence directly contributed financially to the local population or conservation.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
For what we sought, which was a relaxing island hopping experience, we were able to do an impressive amount of things with the limited time we had.Federico Mingozzi review 9 Mar 2014
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Our most memorable parts of the holiday were spent at Our Jungle House, we really enjoyed the ability to relax in a natural unspoiled environment with fantastic gracious hosts there. The two side "journeys" that we took while there will always be remembered. We were extremely lucky to have a knowledgable kind guide for our hike in the jungle, and were super excited to find he was the same for our trip to Chiaw Laan Lake. The guide told us of the local people, the geography, and the local bird and monkey residents of the jungles. He was as excited as we were to go on binocular safari to meet the residents of the jungle. Elephants World in Kanchanaburi is something you must experience, we had a great time learning about the elephants, preparing their meals and even taking a swim with them.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Our biggest tips would be to get out there and experience, the guides are there to make sure you are safe, but its up to you to bring back the greatest memories! I would also recommend researching as much as possible to find out all of the things that you'd like to do, responsibletravel.com is open to your suggestions and will custom organize an itinerary for you. Responsibletravel.com also has great suggestions for things to do, go with and open mind and you will be supremely satisfied.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I would say that our holiday allowed us to interact with local people, shop at local markets, and to try foods that we never would have thought of trying. We were excited to be riding around in tuk-tuks and riding on the long tail boats up the river Kwai. We saw the world in a whole new light. Prepare to have your idea of reality redefined.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Our holiday was fantastic, energetic, gracious, and packed with great memories. We really had a superbly fantastic time!Anah Klate review 13 Dec 2014
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It's really hard to decide! I think the variety of the locations made for a really fun "taster's menu" of Thailand.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don't be afraid to travel far distances between cities because domestic air is super cheap and easy in Thailand.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely in Chiang Mai, where we visited the Elephant Nature Park and received a tour around Doi Inthanon from a local guide, as well as at Khao Sok National Park, where the owner of the bungalow drove us himself to our next destination. Hard to say for Koh Lanta but that may be mostly because of the amount of tourism to that island.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Between four and five stars. Only hiccup was that no ride was arranged for us between the Elephant Nature Park and our Chiang Mai hotel but that may have been a miscommunication between offices at ENP. (After a bit of confusion, they were able to arrange a ride for us with another van. Hard to complain about getting to hang out with the elephants for another hour!)Casey Faber review 24 Jan 2014
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Watching the sunrise at Angor Wat in Siem Reap Cambodia2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take it easy in Koh Lanta. There is plenty to discover I your own without booking a tour every day.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I feel it benefited local people by directly hiring locals as tour guide. Also, by staying in local accommodations helped the economy.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was wonderful!Holiday Reviews
