1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Observing the difference between capitalism and socialism. Cuba has a European-based history of over 500 years. Cuba is like visiting an older European city in a Caribbean setting.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
You will be offered too much food. The casas particulares are in competition with each other, and food is used to score points. You will get to where you must just say no.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. We were able to provide some limited financial assistance to various people. We also took a number of items to share with schools, clinics, and children.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Cuba is presently definitely a third world country. Despite this, the people, the history, the topography, the wildlife make it a good place to visit. We visited many points of interest, as well are participating in cooking, dancing, swimming, etc. activities. The operator did a very good job of providing accommodations under somewhat difficult conditions.Kathryn Chamberlain review 3 Jan 2024
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It had to be the fireworks at Remedios! I have never seen a more spectacular event in my life and at 72 that is saying something! It went on for two hours and was the highlight of the trip.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Dress for warm weather and enjoy all that Cuba has to offer!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Staying in the casas really allowed time to see and interact with the Cuban people and all were delightful. Yes the trip supported conservation and reduced environmental impacts buy the use of a small bus for transport and visiting natural areas and parks.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Definitely ten stars due in large part to the care and effort of our guide Ali. He was phenomenal and took very great care of each one of us in the group.Brett Celi review 9 Jan 2023

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Bonding with my tour group mates, tour guide and the people of Cuba.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be flexible, kind and polite. It will greatly increase your pleasure! Pretty and functional water bottles are highly desired gifts. People literally begged me for my water bottle. Do not give to beggars! If you want to give gifts have your guide or case owners help you find the right way to distribute your gifts.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. I made sure to support local artists, musicians, restaurants and businesses through my patronage. I also packed gifts for my hosts and many toys and snacks to be discreetly distributed in the towns where we visited.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I loved my vacation. Only a few minor recommendations were made by me on the other review - how the casa particulars could improve their offerings by adding a few things like slip free mats on shower floors, and making a few changes in the variety of items on the breakfast menu.Holiday Reviews
