1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

So many things: The Spanish school was really nice, helpful and the teachers were great. classes were small; The walking option was FANTASTIC. my guide, Teresa, knows the hills around Granada really well and it was a delight to talk with her. The scenery is wonderful and we talked completely in Spanish. My confidence as a Spanish speaker has improved; The Alhambra can't be missed - beautiful and unique. But very crowded; My homestay host was ideal for me - at the same stage in life and happy to chat and exchange stories. Her flat was less than ten minutes from the school. And, of course, the flamenco. I went to a show in the shadow of the Alhambra, organised by the school. It was stunning. But even the flamenco groups playing, singing and dancing in the streets are amazingly good.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you want to improve your Spanish and soak yourself in Spanish culture, this is the ideal place to go. If you enjoy hill-walking at all, choose the walking as an extra option

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It definitely helped local people. As well as financially, my family really seemed to enjoy having me. promoting hill-walking as a tourism option for Granada has to help with our awareness of the importance of respecting our environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Wonderful

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The city of Granada with its historic sights and mixed culture, the beauty of the Sierra Nevada national parks, and the quality of the language school (escueala Montalban).

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Sommers in Granada can be too hot for hiking, if you book the language and hike option aim for spring or autumn which is just perfect! Do attend the cultural program offered by the school, it is a great opportunity to practice Spanish.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, very much so.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was amazing! Spending the morning in class and having free afternoons to explore Granada is a perfect combination. The school and teachers were great, I learned a lot in just two weeks and would never have thought that I would ever again love going to school so much. Granada is beautiful and so full of history, the suroundings are stanning with lots of national parks and the light is amazing for all who love photography. The team of Responsible Travel was also very helpful, professional and attentive.
