Rachel Freedman review 28 Sep 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Beautiful locations, historical sites, mostly fun cycling.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be in strong physical condition and prepared for hot weather. Our itinerary did
not include much time to rest.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. After all, we were traveling by bike, not autos. We supported the tourist
economy in the towns we stayed in.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Overall it was a great trip. We'll planned and delightful itinerary. Our two trip leaders were wonderful. Well organized and fun to get to know. Lunches and snacks were very good. Most hotels were fine and in beautiful locations. Dave Red in Athens was the exception. It's an unpleasant place to stay. Small rooms and in a seedy part of the city. The Brown hotel two blocks away owned by the same company would have been much better. The provided bikes were just OK. They could have used a tune up. Some of the descents were long and fast on roads with gravel and uneven surfaces and I didn't have complete trust in the bike. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed getting to know the members of our group.

Hello Rachel, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We're so glad to hear that you had a great time in Greece, and especially that you were happy with the personalities and organisation of your tour leaders. We have been sure, however, to pass on your concerns about the Dave Red hotel in Athens to the product manager for this trip, and while we haven't previously received any negative feedback about this property, we will keep a close eye on any comments we get about it in the future. I would also assure you that our bikes are subjected to regular safety checks by our local team and mechanics.
