1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Mum best souvenir: the colours from Taj Mahal, to the fort, palaces and street markets. Dad best souvenir: both safaris in Ranthambore National Park 10 years old best souvenir: Ranthambore National Park (seeing a crocodile), Agra fort and Jaipur Water Palace. 8 years old best souvenir: Ranthambore National Park2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
We went in April and the weather was very hot. It was ok for us, but it was probably not the best season. Do not come with cash. You can pay with CB in many places and the guide will show the best ATM for withdrawing rupees.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes and no. We went to see local people doing craft. By buying them things we couldn't support the local community, but some things e.g. carpets or jewellery were very expensive. We travelled in a comfortable bus, but it was much bigger than what 10 persons needed. A smaller bus would have reduce our environmental impact. We've been given an awful amount of small water bottles. Having big bottles of water to fill our reusable water bottles would have been better. However, our guide and other people helping us were all from India and were very qualified. I also appreciated our guide mentioning that they were not supporting animal work, e.g. elephants transporting tourists in Jaipur.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This trip is great for parents and children. It's stress free and full of beautiful places. Kids get to know the country and the guide is very attentive to their wellbeing.Read the operator's response here:

As a part of our efforts to minimise carbon emissions on our trip we (not limited to):
o engaging locally owned and operated services, thus avoiding use of long, carbon-intensive supply chains
o use local public transport wherever possible, and particularly minimise the use of flights within itineraries, and
o include and encourage locally produced food and goods which reduces the energy consumed by production and transport of food and goods
For some destinations and itineraries it can be more difficult to implement these, for example - some local suppliers might rely on an income stream from selling plastic water bottles which makes it quite a complex issue. We appreciate the feedback that you feel we could do better in supporting local communities/businesses and also make some changes in relation to plastic water bottles. I have passed this feedback onto the relevant team.
I hope this helps highlight how important environmentally and socially responsible travel is to us.
In the same way, we are committed to animal welfare and actively discourage the participation of our travellers in any activities that exploit wild or domestic/working animals. In 2012, we supported an extensive research project into the welfare of captive elephants, in conjunction with World Animal Protection. In 2014, we banned elephant rides across all trips, and established a full policy regarding elephant welfare.

Travelling in August is possible. The Monsoon did not affect us much. There are very few tourists and the countryside is green. Don't count on a good match with other families.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
To the extent that one bought or consumed local products local people benefited. Our impact on the environment was negative (flights, local travel, bottled water, pools etc).4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
The key is the guide and our guide was just brilliant and made all the difference. The last two/three days could be improved. Sightseeing in Nawalgarth and Aslisar was virtual identical and was short. There was not much else to do. These days felt like a slow return to Delhi.
