Read the operator's response here:
Sometimes itís not obvious, but even the small things make a difference! For example, choosing to transfer by road from the Masai Mara instead of a short flight reduces carbon emissions and allows you more opportunity on the ground to support local communities, whether thatís shopping for local crafts or dining in a local cafť. Your visits in the Karen area directly support the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. Further, just by booking your holiday with one of Responsible Travelís trusted operators, you can be sure that your safari suppliers are chosen carefully. The lodges you stayed in and your Kenyan ground handlers all have strong eco-credentials, and through their own foundations and direct work, will strive to support the communities and wildlife in the region.
We are always interested in ideas of how environmental impact can be improved in our destinations and we work closely with our suppliers to ensure your visit is always net positive. Do feel free to contact us with your observations if you think there are any more areas for improvement! Weíre delighted you had such a good experience in Kenya.
