1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Seeing newly hatched baby turtles heading away from the sea. Luring a couple back with torchlight and reporting the situation. The next morning the nest was marked and a channel created to ensure the safety of further hatchlings.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Enjoy the scenery! Roads very good and empty in September; check opening days and times of archaeological sites - the tour operator notes are rather out of date. Make sure your return flight is late enough for a relaxed journey back from Arkudi to Athens airport. Consider flights in and out of Kalamata if not planning to visit Athens. Manual cars are standard.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - use of locally owned hotels, use of local eateries. No - car was diesel.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Had a lovely time, great overview of many areas in the Peloponnese. Hotels perfectly located. Organisation very smooth.Nigel Anteney-Hoare review 6 Sep 2022

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
A really fabulous tour of the Peloponnese taking in some lovely beaches and major ancient sites. It was not a part of Greece we had been to before and we will go back . This trip has given us a taster on why the Greeks love this part of their country so much. You can combine with a short stay in Athens quite easily and we really enjoyed our guided walking tour there.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Pack light, take in all the advice given on beaches to visit and local tavernas to eat in and don't worry about the driving in Greece - many of the roads are new and the tolls are quite cheap. Also hire a boat in places like Tolo and Pylos to explore more of the coastline and some fantastic snorkelling spots. The suggestions for the itinerary work really well mixing in amazing site like Epidaurus, Messini and Olympia with days relaxing on a different beach each day. Lastly the Polylimino waterfalls are well worth the walk for a beautiful view and cool freshwater swim3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Visiting Greece you realise that some things we now take for granted like recycling are not very present so using so much single use plastic took some getting used to. We also witnessed just one electric car on our whole trip so we understood why this was not an option for us. That said we were booked into really lovely locally owned and run small hotels in all the places we stayed. They were really fantastic and chatting to the owners we really got a sense of how important our booking was to them and how the money we paid will clearly stay in the local economy. All the tavernas recommended were locally owned and sourced their food from nearby or from another part of Greece, and the food was delicious!4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely needed and absolutely superb! We will be going back to see more of this wonderful part of Greece.Taissa Csaky review 15 Aug 2016
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Exploring the Byzantine capital of the Pelopponese, Mystras, en route between Tolo and Gytheio. Beautifully painted churches, crumbling ruins, a Frankish fortress with magnificent views and a convent tortoise!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
We started with two days in Athens and skipped the last stop. It would be well worth taking the whole trip and we would have if we had more time. We went in late July/early August and it was too hot to do some of the sites justice - but we made the most of the beaches.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It was great to do business directly with a local company and the agents were really helpful and well organised. We were driving so can't say our environmental impact was particularly great - but we did get to see a lot of places we could never have reached in the time by public transport.4. 1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The entire 21 day trip was fantastic. Upon the agent's advice we went to the Mani and certainly enjoyed the interesting castle houses, as well as the landscape and uncrowded sightseeing. Also, Nafplio was probably our favorite town with so many interesting sites nearby as well as the beaches and natural beauty. We could have stayed there longer. Driving Greece is the way to go. Get out of Athens and see the small villages especially in the Peloponnese. June was the perfect time of year before the mad tourist crunch.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Listen to the travel agent. He did an outstanding job for us and found the best family run small hotels. All the hotels and route that he suggested to us were spot on. We don't normally use a travel agency, but would recommend and use this holiday operator again.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we stayed in small locally owned hotels and pensions and ate at small restaurants and shopped in local markets. The car we rented was very low gas mileage and a local company as well. We were able to stop at places you could never visit on a large tour bus.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Our holiday was wonderful. We have nothing negative to say. The holiday company was easy to work with even from the United States through email and very honest. We added to the original itinerary which they readily assisted us and found places for us to stay in our desired locales that were so nice. Everything was better than promised! We have traveled extensively all over the world and driving in many different countries. This agency was the best that we have ever worked with.Holiday Reviews
