1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Walking to the next village across fossil strewn landscape, seeing inside local houses, churches and the local blacksmith, whilst speaking Spanish and learning about the local culture and geology.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Check the level of Spanish practised is right for you - intermediate/ upper intermediate. The classes aren’t aimed at beginners or advanced Spanish students.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Very much. Simon and Lucy made sure we meet local people, brought local produce, and most of the excellent food we had was either grown in their allotment or locally sourced.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was a lovely and memorable experience in a unique part of the world. Lucy and Simon did everything could to make my trip special, and to improve my Spanish. When I became ill they went the extra mile to help make me comfortable.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The scenery, both from the accommodation and later to the huge cliffs and canyons in the national park.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Good boots (you can borrow trekking poles) because some paths are rocky. Plan to speak Spanish much of the day even if you make loads of mistakes. Our group did pretty well though lapsed into English later in the day.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, local guides, eating out a few times. Accommodation has geothermal heating, solar panels, rain water tanks etc.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Good. We were very well looked after by our hosts, healthy good food. Lovely big room with a view with no single supplement. Excellent teacher and guides (all in Spanish). I regained a bit of confidence in speaking Spanish. This was my second visit and I hope to go back.
