Reviews for Bangladesh holiday, small group tour

review 20 Nov 2017

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The cruising in the Sanderban national park and on the bay of Bengal was interesting. Wonderful sunset.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take plenty of photographs but beware that a lot of people want to take selfies of you, either with or without your consent. Long journeys in the vehicle - take comfortable clothing that is suitable for using long drop toilets along the route.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Had limited opportunities on the group tour to shop along the way at local markets so it is difficult to say how much local people benefited. I left tips for waiters and cleaners in hotels so presumably their families benefited, and lunch along the route was purchased by group leader from local markets along route. Entrance tickets to conservation sites would support the conservation effort.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Interesting places to visit but was not able to visit all the sites described due to the distances between each site and the enormous traffic congestion in the towns and along many of the routes used.
