Reviews for Malaysia food and culture holiday

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang which was not on our itinerary or recommend. Same as the backstreet art murals in KL. We loved the cooking class in KL.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Let them know how much attention you need. Guides sometimes traveled with us from city to city which seemed like an unnecessary expense. Also we were escorted to the airport to be shown the departure lane which was not necessary as we are savvy travelers. We skipped the Cameron Highlands so we could have at least 3 nights in each city except Ipoh - 2 was fine here. In Ipoh make sure to check out the speakeasies Tiga and Caina Bank. I recommend visiting the Batu Caves outside of KL as well as the Perak Cave temple near Ipoh. Stay at a hotel with a pool in Malacca - Malaysia is HOT, HOT, HOT!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Sure. Although they arranged two car for the Singapore-Malacca transfer and for the airport transfer in Langkawi which was not good for the carbon footprint. Campbell House very cool place, but it would be best to know ahead of time that you need to remove your shoes to go to your room - we loved this but might not be for everyone. Sarang Parlor Heritage Hotel - staff was so lovely!4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Guides were good, a couple of glitches but we very much enjoyed our time.Holiday Reviews
