1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The true hospitality and calmness. Ioannis was also so very knowledgeable and passionate, I felt in great hands.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Book a treatment with Ioannis, he’s absolutely brilliant.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I think there was a real emphasis and belief in supporting the local community - through employed staff, planned meal at taverna & encouragement to explore the local area. Filtered water to refill bottles was readily available and encouraged vs plastic bottles. The property is very sympathetic to the local environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent, just the break I needed.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The opportunity to do pilates in small classes with expert tuition whilst enjoying such an amazing view, the beautiful location, the opportunity to connect with people in a small group and to chill out by the lovely pool, not forgetting the amazing food.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared to feel a little cut off from the outside world. The location is remote. Access to the beach is down a stony, makeshift pathway - not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, I understand that local firms were involved in constructing the retreat. We ate local food prepared by a local cook and were taught pilates, mediation etc by Ioannis, who is from the local area.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was a very enjoyable, relaxing week - Pippa and Nick made us very welcome.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The location was absolutely beautiful - It is a very special place. Waking up to the view over the bay and having our sessions on the beach and on the platform overlooking the sea was incredible. The site has been carefully constructed by Pippa and Nick to reflect the landscape but is also very functional for groups.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

This holiday is perfect for switching off - the idea of the wellness together with the Pilates is to relax your mind and body in a beautiful location. There is not much to do when you're there for a reason - you can go and explore the local paths and the tiny hamlet and beaches nearby, or you can also just sit by the pool and read, I really enjoyed that the group did all of the classes together and that no one opted out - we had our free time but eating together and being together in the sessions really helped us come together as a group. My tip would therefore be to rest, participate and take the location in. Also - go on your own rather than miss out. They only have one date with Ioannis for September 2019.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Pippa and Nick employ a local lady, Toula, running their kitchen and doing general housekeeping. She was excellent - her food was delicious and all from local produce. Although there is little tourism in the area, it was good to know that Pippa and Nick recommend the local sights and take the group to a local taverna for dinner one evening. Ioannis is a respected and excellent Greek trainer with so many strings to his bow - I was very pleased that they had him running the retreat.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fabulous. Excellent hosts, a stunning location and a real feeling that you're part of the household. Pippa and Nick, and our trainer ate dinner with us each evening - it was like a group of old friends coming together. The classes were all really good and Ioannis is a brilliant teacher. I opted for a treatment at an additional cost, which was excellent. The people were all friendly and fun - we bonded really well. It was clear that everyone was there for similar reasons and we all left feeling lighter and relaxed!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Being taught Pilates and meditation by Ioannis Davros

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for the 3 hour journey from the airport. Once at the place you forget the time spent in the taxi. Dress code is very casual but take something a little dressier for the visit to the restaurant. Take books.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, there was local employment, we visited local restaurants.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I couldn't fault it in any way. It's a very relaxing holiday and the Pilates was amazing. The owners are excellent hosts.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

I loved the whole thing. The Pilates, meditation and Chi Gung tuaght by Ionos made me feel like a new woman after the week in Pelion. But how can one overlook the sumptuous home cooking and amiable comraderie around the square table hosted by Pip and Nick. Or for that matter the splendid accomodation with views across the water to mountains. There is no one stand out. It was as a delight all round.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring a couple of swimsuits as it’s hard to keep out of the sea. It can be a bit tricky to get there so chat with Pippa about the best ways to arrive. We had a transfer so no problem but you may want to make sure you research which is the best airport to fly to and how to get to Pelion from there. It’s well worth it so don’t let this put you off.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

To a degree in that we had dinner in the local restaurants, we certainly seemed to tread lightly on the earth and local people were involved in the teaching and cooking and also in building the splendid accomodations.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was a wonderful break away to a quiet corner of Greece. Highly recommended for all.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The Pilates, meditation and Qi Gong sessions were held in a stunning setting on the terrace by the water - morning and evening, the lapping Pelion sea worked its spell. Ioannis the instructor/therapist/healer is a special individual, and his instruction is imbued with gentle humour. The highlight for me was the evening meditation, finishing with Singing Bowls at twilight, then meandering up to a delicious dinner with good local wine. Second helpings of both were encouraged! You can't help but relax, and the hosts, Pippa and Nick, are very kind and hospitable folk who have created a special retreat.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take some fins for swimming off the rock platform beneath the villa - on a calm day, you can swim to several bays. Have one or two therapeutic massage sessions with Ioannis - not to be missed. Bring an open attitude along to the early evening Qi Gong sessions - having only ever done yoga or Pilates, I found Qi Gong unexpectedly helpful in bringing focus and calmness to a busy mind.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Pippa and Nick employ local people including Ioannis, and Toula the excellent cook. We walked into the village and ate a few lunches at local restaurants. Tap water tasted great. The food, wine and olive oil are locally sourced.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent! A rejuvenating week.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

There is something very special about the tour operator we went with. It's a complete getaway. You can't help but feel calm and slow down. I was there for 2 weeks - the pilates/wellness week with the marvellous Ioannis and then the yoga week with the angel like Molly. I can't recommend it enough, nor taking two weeks to fully unwind, benefit from Ioannis's treatments, and both his and Molly's excellent instruction. I have done quite a bit of yoga and pilates over the years and been on a few retreats and this is one of the best. The hosts, Pippa and Nick, make it feel more like a family environment rather than commercial and the accommodation is of a very high standard. Finally, I loved swimming in the crystal clear sea every day and visiting the small secluded coves in easy walking distance of the retreat.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you can, treat yourself to two weeks!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, we ate out at local restaurants a few times and Pippa and Nick employ local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Brilliant!
