1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Getting to climb down to the Yangtze River in the Middle Gorge and experience the power of the river. Also a getting boat ride in a stunning part of the river - when the road was closed. Walking around the Old Town in Leijang2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be flexible! Plenty of road closures due to slips - ended up on boats and horses. If you are open to changes you will have great experiences. If you like salt with food carry you own.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Probably benefited local people where we stayed. We really enjoyed the local guest houses. We would have added to the environmental impact due to drinking water (in plastic bottles.)4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was a great holiday - very active, wonderful to see cultural differences between Yunnan and Shangri-la, lots of wonderful vegetables. Great variety. A bit too much cultural lecturing - but made up for with the stunning landscapes.Holiday Reviews
