1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The hiking on the Pekoe trail was great. The bird sanctuary was outstanding!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

As feedback, I would say that for some of the activities, the itinerary was not very clear about how much driving to get to things there would be. For instance, on landing we were told 4 hour drive, but was really 5 plus 30 minute drive up the mountain. Then day 2 was supposed to be a hike and lunch with local villagers. We were only told at the end of the first day that it was a 2 hour drive to get to the hike, and then a 2 hour drive home afterwards. We did not want to do that after driving all day the day before and choose to do a hike from the first hotel we were staying at. So more information would have been helpful, or staying closer to where activities are would be helpful. It happened again from the Capoe hotel the day we were supposed to go see the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka, only the morning of did we discover that is was 1 1/2 hr drive each way to that and then a 4 hour drive south afterwards. Shawneka, who really was more of a driver versus tour guide, gave us other options, which we took. He was really a lovely person, but again, seemed more of just a driver, which wasn't our expectation. Also I would not recommend guests for the Turtle Bay hotel. Very basic facilities and mold in shower, etc.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Sunrise at Lipton Seat. Nishan, our guide, made sure we were the first people to arrive. We were all alone there for a short time, which was absolutely magical. Seeing elephants up close in the wild in Udawalawe National Park was incredible. Interacting with the people. They were so warm and welcoming, in a most genuine way.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Rest when you can. There is a good amount of car time on this holiday, but it is worth it.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. In particular, Nishan was great at stopping to purchase local foods from local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fantastic! Top notch accommodations, excellent driver/guide in Nishan and wonderful experiences everywhere we went. We are so glad we booked this adventure with this operator.
