1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I had a fantastic experience doing a tour in India with this local operator. I did the “Golden Triangle” tour but added on Varanasi. For around 12 days, starting mid-December 2025, my trip started in Delhi, then Jaipur, then Agra, Varanasi, ending with a train ticket to Bodhgaya. From my initial enquiry through to an organised phone call with Guarav, the owner, within 1-2 days, then a few emails to clarify the itinerary, Guarav got back to me very quickly with a price, and a detailed day-by-day itinerary on his web-based platform. He made sure he understood what pace of travel I preferred, what I was interested in seeing, making suggestions based on what I said. They organised airport transfers, transport, accommodation - mostly in family run B&B’s that have worked with them for many years, buying train tickets in advance, organising guides each day, tours, etc for me, leaving me free to enjoy the tourist experience. They organised taxis to collect me from each B&B and take me to the train station for my onward journey, and had a taxi driver waiting at the other end to take to my B&B, with the driver even waiting on the platform outside my train carriage, so no hassle. Ajay, the operations manager, made contact with me each day over WhatsApp, advising what time the next days guide would meet me and their name, so I could contact the guide and confirm. Having pre-arranged guides at each location meant my time was well spent, and I got maximum benefit on the tours I did. In each new location a guide was organised to take me on walking tours, sometimes using tuk-tuks, public buses, the Delhi Metro. As I had expressed my interests at the outset, I did tours of ancient forts, palaces, tombs, an observatory, food tours, Taj Mahal, walking tour along the ghats on the River Ganges, a boat trip on the river Ganges, visits to temples, very good restaurants, and much more. The guides in Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi were first class, had an immense knowledge of the history, architecture, religions and way of life in India, and we spent many enjoyable hours together on the tours.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
India is mostly a cashless society now, with even street stalls having a QR code to scan, so it was difficult to use cash, as nowhere had change. So either a) go to the bank and get loads of 20, 50 and 100 roupes notes, or get a cashcard to use every day. Get used to checking the Rapido taxi app where I got a lot of motorbike taxis within minutes for a fixed price for 30 to 80 roupes, which I paid in cash, (the driver will not have change!). Even if you dont use Rapido, it is handy to check it to see what price you should be paying teh drivers on teh street touting for business. Everyone uses the food delivery apps, handy in your accommodation to order food. At Delhi airport on arrival, within a few minutes you can get an Airtel mobile phone SIMM card installed in your phone, 500Roupes for 28 days, giving I think 1.5GB per day, or 300R for a smaller amount, not sure. A mobile SIMM is essential for Google Maps, and for ordering on teh various Apps, and for contact/finding your guides, etc.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, I saw that local people got paid for their contribution to my holiday, from the taxi drivers, B&B staff, guides, the food places we visited on tours, the boat rides, and all the people who contributed to my holiday, all local people, many with a long-term working relationship with them.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent, a fantastic experience, very well organised. I found them to be professional, courteous, respectful manner, attentive to detail, they made sure I had the most enjoyable trip possible, ensuring I spent time with some of the kindest, interesting and most genuine people, who were clearly very proud of India and what it had to offer tourists.Holiday Reviews
