1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The spectacular archaeological sites that I doubt I would have been able to get to so efficiently as a solo traveller. The other brilliant part was meeting other travellers, and joining them for the bike ride and the gorge hike - unmissable!! The OTHER, other most memorable part was just how good our tour leaders were. Nothing was too much trouble and they were flexible with what we did, including acceding to my request to visit a couple of extra museums.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Have very good walking shoes - some places can be a bit slippery or scrabbly. A reasonable degree of fitness will help a lot, and understand that Greeks generally eat later than we’re used to, so ask what the plan is for the next day and make sure you have something to nibble on if necessary!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I did indeed - in particular, the hotel in Tripoli had a close association with Arcas Travel. Our group leaders were happy to recommend places that they go with their friends and family. I liked that at no stage were we taken to a pre-arranged restaurant and told to eat there. You could also donate to a reforestation program the travel company is involved in. And finally- the group leaders were all locals, so not only were we directly supporting them, we got their local knowledge and insights. Win!4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I didn’t know what to expect and entered cautiously. This experience blew me away. It was very well organised, everyone had the right attitude- everything clicked right away. A rare find and I’m exceedingly grateful, pleased and just a tad smug to have been a part of this trip in such a glorious part of the world.Brian Mahaffey review 12 Nov 2018

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Too many great experiences to pick one.... the "hero" excursions were amazing, but so were all the little things. Warm bread at breakfast in Tripoli, lots of laughter as we cycled through cherry orchards, the peace and beauty of Galaxidi in the morning sunshine ... and successfully climbing all those stairs.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Remember that you'll climb (lots of) hills and stair. Prepare your knees and wear the right shoes/sandals. Travel light.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. Local staff (from Tripoli) allowed growth outside of key tourist areas. We also used smaller accommodation providers and ate locally.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing.... the people, the place, the organisation... and fabulous fellow travellers. Highly recommended.Holiday Reviews
