Reviews for Glencoe and the Highlands walking tour, Scotland
Jonathan Latt review 3 May 2026
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We hiked up a mountain I will never be able to pronounce (I really tried) in Glencoe through an inversion layer and got to the top and stared down at the clouds. Also, Alan's battle with the voice recognition software in the van was pretty hilarious at times...ask him about asking for directions to Oban from Aberfeldy :)2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
This was my first big hiking trip so not sure that I have any, other than do not trust the weather forecast, nobody in Scotland knows what's going on and even the weather people on the news seem ready to give up on their weather forecasting accuracy.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Again, I'm not sure. Does eating sticky toffee pudding every night help the environment? If so, I have reduced carbon emissions by 240 percent.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was challenging but excellent. Alan is a great guide and just a really nice guy who went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a good time and enjoying themselves.Holiday Reviews
