Reviews for Snorkeling holiday in Triton Bay & Raja Ampat
Jackie Bourn review 11 Jun 2026
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The ability to go difficult to get to locations and snorkelling in wonderful coral reefs with experienced guides and having the backing of a company that makes sure it all runs smoothly.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
You are snorkelling at least 2 times a day so sun protection is very important. Long sleeved rashie top and pants are recommended even if you don’t use a wet suit as spf sun screen is not so effective and only certain types that do not affect the reef should be used. Also do some practice snorkelling to get confidence in ocean conditions. While not an essential being confident to duck dive down below and stay underwater got you a bit closer to some creatures that opened a new world in the oddities.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, local people very much part of the fabric at both places we visited. Both had worked with the local communities to get more understanding on the importance of the diversity of the sea life and environs. People from the local community benefitted by being able to work and develop skills at each of the places we stayed at. The local guides on our snorkel outings were experts in spotting well camouflaged creatures.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
A wonderful experience.Holiday Reviews
