Reviews for Sri Lanka hill country tour

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Spotting all the birds at 98 Acres, especially the scarlet minivet who came to our lodge every day. Looking out onto the Castlereagh Reservoir at Camellia Hills tea bungalow and walking the land surrounding the reservoir.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Tinker with it to get it to your own requirements, as we did, then just do it. We asked to add 98 Acres Resort in. The whole trip was fabulous!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The tea bungalows and 98 Acres were employing local people and giving them good hospitality training. All three Teardrop properties we visited and Galle Fort Hotel had drinking water systems and gave us re-filled bottles daily so there was no need to buy water in disposable bottles. The Teardrop bungalows also filled our 'walking' bottles. Two of our journeys were made by train (Perideniya to Hatton and Hatton to Nanu Oya) and were particularly memorable for the beautiful countryside and lakes we travelled by, on those trains.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

This was a great fairly restful holiday and I loved it! It would be easy to add more lively activities, such as zip wire, at 98 Acres.
