1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Wild flowers at Skaftafell Nature Reserve - for some reason I hadn't realised how many wild flowers I'd see in Iceland. Icebergs at Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon - even though the weather was cold and wet! Whale-watching trip - we saw white-beaked dolphins, humpback and minke whales. Then had Coffee and snacks with our guide and his wife and son at their second home - such a privilege to be invited into somebody's home in another country2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Do everything that's on offer - but you'll probably need wet weather gear!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - our guide chose to visit shops/cafes in very out-of-the-way places. He made it clear that some of them were struggling to survive.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I've been thinking about going to Iceland for years, but was always put off by the cost. It was definitely worth the money.Holiday Reviews
