Reviews for Classic Egypt holiday with Nile Cruise
Paula Doherty review 20 Feb 2020
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The whole adventure was memorable. The very best parts for me were the overnight journey on the sleeper train, the cruise down the Nile and the camel ride. All the temples and tombs were amazing. Informal evening walks with our guide through Luxor and Aswan were memorable and allowed us to get closer to local people.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for a series of very early starts. It was definitely worth getting up early to visit many of the sites before the crowds arrived however, it was hard work! Depending on the time of year, be prepared for potentially cold weather in Cairo!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I did feel that the trip benefitted local people - from the camel leaders to the calesh drivers. We stayed in Egyptian-owned hotels and ate at local restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This was an excellent and very well organised trip. The leader was superb - informative, helpful, well organised and interesting to talk to. Coming at the end of a long overnight train journey, I think the visit to Philae Temple should be part of the itinerary rather than an optional extra.Holiday Reviews
