Visiting the National parks (AND THE FOOD).2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Weather was variable temperatures in June so make sure you have layered clothing options. Pack for heat, sun, heavy mist and cool winds. Don't wear tight fitting clothes as the food options are overwhelming. Be flexible as the weather and wildlife may mean that minor changes to the walk itinerary are essential for safety.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes to all of these - used the services of several local guides, the usual enviable Japanese approach to caring for their natural resources, and by using the well set up and resourced local information centres near the National Parks.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent - helped by having a personable and knowledgeable guide who made a big effort to point out the many natural flora and fauna. Quality accommodation, lots of onsen opportunities and superb food.Antti Laine review 6 Oct 2023

Hiking through beautiful and peaceful forest, every now and then with amazing scenery in the background.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Prepare yourself for some steep climbs. Otherwise the itinerary is rather easy, even slightly boring for experienced hikers.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We had the chance to stay in small inns and buy regional products. This route definitely isn’t overcrowded, so yes, every yen counts.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was ok. The route was great, I had wished for some more hiking and more experienced fellow hikers. Itinerary can definitely be optimized, but for a slightly different experience in Japan, I‘d recommend this trip.Holiday Reviews
