Reviews for Walking holiday in rural Crete

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The walking is fantastic. Iakovos has designed a programme that uses a different trail each day. And each day there are different landscapes and highlights. The gorges are spectacular. The historic landmarks and ruins are wonderful. For me, the coastal trails with big, blue ocean views were the most memorable.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take the bus into Kissamoss during your free time. It's a small town about 10kms away which still only has a moderate tourism presence. You can feel the gentle rhythm of a small Cretan town that is built around significant historic remnants from all phases of Cretan history. I loved it.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Iakovos and Camille are true locals. The local firms and services they use are their neighbours and friends in Nopigia. This holiday is a truly authentic local travel experience in a small Cretan seaside town. I observed that the tour operator chose sustainable options, as far as practicable.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I loved my holiday. Iakovos and Camille really helped me to see some of the unique characteristics of north west Crete. The walking was awesome. I swam in the hotel pool each morning and in the Med most afternoons. The family run hotel was a delight. The local café workers were friendly and generous of spirit. I will not forget this holiday for a long time. Thanks!Holiday Reviews
