1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The 3 week trip to the '5 Stans' was amazing! We couldn't point to any single highlight as the 5 countries were completely different and unexpected new experiences every day. The quality of the guiding was exceptional, especially Rifat, who was with us for most of the trip.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for all sorts of variation. Tedious 3 hour border crossings, some of the worst roads in the world in Turkmenistan and anything from basic yurt accomodation with an outside loo to the most extravagantly plush hotels around. Be prepared to be tolerant and flexible! Bring sense of humour with you.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Tourism certainly helped the economy generally and locals mostly keen to engage and practice speaking English.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
