1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We were both delighted at the range and diversity of visits we did throughout the tip. We particularly enjoyed visits to the mountain village of Grazalema and the olive oil museum where we really got a taste of regional life. Each area we visited uncovered another layer of beauty and historical interest which gave us a real taste of Andalucia and the people who live there. The food was also excellent with tapas and regional fish dishes to explore.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
We visited during June and the weather was fine but on occasions too hot not being used to it. However, our tour guide was excellent and continued to advice us on drinking plenty of water and steer us towards areas where it is possible to get cover in the shade. Transport and hotels had air conditioning throughout the trip.We enjoyed the fact that there was plenty of free time for us to explore areas. The group often had meals together and visited locations as a group and then time was available to have time separately to follow personal interests especially relevant in the larger towns and cities.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. We selected this holiday specifically because of the transport it used. The trains were punctual and comfortable as were local buses. Our private small coaches were also comfortable. This meant that the overall carbon footprint of the holiday was reduced. By visiting local villages and family businesses we also supported their economies. Our tour guide was with us throughout the whole tour. She was from Andalucia so always spoke with real emotional attachment and sense of pride.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. It was well organised diverse and at the right pace for the number of visits we made in different locations. Overall we thought it was a good value tour.Holiday Reviews
