1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The landscape, the friendly locals, the camaraderie on the trail were all memorable. Arriving in Santiago de Compostela the most exciting.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Keep your carrying luggage as light as possible.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
There were so many memorable and exciting moments on our trip but maybe the first day walking through Valenca and over the bridge into Spain without any passport control and seeing the enormous military fortifications built to keep out the enemy from the 16 th century now a mere tourist attraction made me feel there was hope for mankind! Also turning a corner and finding we were actually in front of the cathedral in Santiago and realising my feet had kept going for the ( way more than) 124 km was very special.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Stay in the present, keep packing as simple as possible, phone only for photos, make sure your feet are ‘ walking ready’ and engage with fellow walkers from time to time. Proper poncho that is light and breathable invaluable. Walk at your own pace, it’s not a competition. Leave the critical side of your personality at home!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Certainly most of the places we stayed in were owned and run by local people and they thanked us for coming which suggested they needed our business. Also all the small cafes we stopped in were clearly locally run using local ingredients.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Everything worked perfectly: pick up, variety of authentic accomodation, luggage transfers. We also thought the arrival greeting with personalised book of the Way, accomodation details, put this operator way ahead of other companies who delivered everything by email and did not personally greet. Our group was Mother and 2 daughters walking to celebrate the elder’s 50th birthday. We all thought it was brilliant.Holiday Reviews
