1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It was all amazing. All the tours were fabulous- whales, glaciers, ice caves - awesome waterfalls and landscapes. But we also appreciated the time & space to do our own walks, bird watching & orchid spotting.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don't try to do the full ring road too quickly. Spending two nights in most of the (excellent) hotels was great. Also - take English tea!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We spent a lot of money on eating & drinking - so hopefully that helps. The whale watching tour teams were keen to tell us how we were supporting their campaign to stop further whale hunting. Flying & driving always makes us feel guilty. I'm going to try to find out how we could offset some of that by supporting tree planting/rewilding in Iceland (they need it).4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent - thanks for all your help.Carrie Woolworth review 26 Jul 2025
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
What wasnt?! Absolutely loved this trip!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
A few more days would have been nice to get in a bit more and not feel rushed. I wish we would have had a hotel booked between the Tindostoll hotel and Storm hotel in Reykjavik, the drive was long and we would have had more time to explore the western peninsulas.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Possibly benefitting local people, we did notice that a majority of people working at the hotels were from other countries and there for just the season. Our rental car was a hybrid and we noticed quite a few electric cars.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Iceland was absolutely beautiful, I had never seen so many breathtaking waterfalls, every way you turned you saw a different landscape. The horses, sheep, puffins, whales and even a herd of reindeer!Holiday Reviews
