1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Exploring the beautiful countryside outside of the cities -- the desert, the Atlas Mountains, the fertile plains -- illustrated the fascinating juxtaposition between traditional ways and modern innovations. Having tea with a Berber family. Dancing in the moonlight around a campfire in the desert at an impromptu jam session with a group of female healthcare professionals from Casablanca.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared to walk on uneven terrain and climb LOTS of steps, especially in hill towns like Chefchaouen and Ait Benhaddou.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. Whenever possible, we were given the opportunity to shop at local (often women-owned) cooperatives.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This is a comprehensive introduction to a fascinating country. We spent a lot of time in the van but we covered A LOT of ground, so we got to visit parts of Morocco that shorter tours wouldn't have time to see.John Clarke review 15 Dec 2025
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
All of it!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Muslim people do not like having their photographs taken. Be prepared for carb heavy breakfasts in rural areas i.e. bread and pastries. A couple of days a lot of time was spent travelling but that is made clear in the information from the host company.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Couldn't really tell as we stayed in hotels not riads. We did go to someone's home and some collectives so those things should help.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Thank you for your 5 star review! It means a lot! Plastic waste is definitely an area we would like Morocco to work on so we are glad to offer a discount on filtered water bottles. Thanks for that tip!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The visit in Chefchaouen and the stay at Casa Azul, as well as the visit to the desert and camel ride.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
The visits to the big cities are too much “tourist basic”. Too many visits leading to buying at a specific location, and not enough unusual explorations and local discoveries.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, I like the fact that we support local people, but still would appreciate more options in the choices we made for restaurants (usually lunch), places with limited choices or without the option of wandering on our own during the lunch time, organized shops, only one Ryad in Marrakesh that was overcrowded etc.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
The guide and drivers were lively, people in hotels were accommodating and nice. It was a lovely trip overall.Read the operator's response here:
Thank you for taking the time to leave a 4 star review Dominique. I will pass on the comment about more options for lunches. Thank you.

We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve going forward.
This is indeed more of a budget tour and we never claim it is luxury. We use traditional Moroccan feel hotels with an average 3 star and some 4 star rating
but are looking to change some of our hotels this year.
We are glad that overall you found the tour very good and glad you got to experience Morocco!

Thank you for your feedback and generous rating. We are glad you had an excellent time in Morocco. Regarding the tipping kitty, this is mentioned in the pricing section on the Responsible Travel website as well as on the voucher we send, the pre-departure email and on our direct website. Apologies if you did not find this clear. We will look more into how we can reduce environmental impacts if you feel this was not supported enough. Thank you once again for joining us.
