1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The overall beauty of the Douro Valley - it is a very peaceful and quiet place. The wine, the people, the region - all wonderful.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
There were a few navigational issues, not huge, just a take notice. It's difficult because of the private land nature of the walk, paths and roads can change in the vineyards.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, very much so. Because we only stayed and dined at local properties, we felt our travels were helping the local economies. And4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Once again, Responsible Travel did a fabulous job of connecting us to a local provider. The tour operator was wonderful to work with during the planning process and then when we arrived. Everything was very well organized, all the lodging properties were lovely, and the people were kind and welcoming. The walk was perfect in every way, just what we had hoped for. An excellent holiday. The whole holiday was well organised and put together with options for taking it easy if you needed to. Excellent guidance was provided in the app. The accommodation without exception was excellent. The pre departure briefing was also very useful.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
The trip was sometimes challenging in the heat. A hat, water and suncreen are essential items. We were walking in mid September in temperatures of 28 - 30 degrees. Unfortunately, it was not always possible to arrange an early departure due to breakfast times. Pre book trips to wineries as you could be disappointed.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We spent money in local shops, cafes and bars along the route.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
