Reviews for Transatlantic slave trade tour, Ghana
Anthony Miles review 7 Apr 2026
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Visiting the 2 large slave forts at Cape Coast and Elmina.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be aware that the roads (currently) are in very poor condition so travel takes longer than expected and can be uncomfortable.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we used local guides very frequently.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
My guide Nurudeen did a sterling job, driving relentlessly, making all the hotel/meal arrangements and removing any potential issues. The sights were impressive and I gained a good impression of the country. In general Ghanaians are genuinely friendly!Holiday Reviews
