1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The visit to Kaieteur Waterfall, time spent on the rivers, seeing a giant anteater, being close to a family of river otters even though they were fairly well hidden behind fallen branches, seeing the cock-of-the-rock in the rainforest, and more.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
There is quite a lot of walking, mostly on forest trails, mostly at a slow pace and with some standing around as the guides look for birds. Be prepared for the weather. We didn't have too much sun, nor too much rain, but we did need to be prepared for both. And of course, for the mosquitos. Travel between some of the lodges by river was on our programme, and we managed to do this. But we were close to being disappointed as the river levels were too low for this only a few days previously so be prepared for things not necessarily going to plan.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. The people we met in the lodges were very committed to conservation and recognised that tourism incentivised local communities to this end.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It lived up to its name, Guyana Nature Experience, perfectly. I'm giving it 4 stars rather than five only because there were a few small disappointments. In particular, the canopy walkway was much less extensive than I had expected. Rather than giving it 4/5, though, I would prefer to give it 9/10!Read the operator's response here:

On the dates we run the trips so far we have never been stopped travelling between the lodges due to low water - but with climate change, these things are always a possibility.
