1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Visits to Matera (our Guide), Alberabello (accommodation), Lecce (our Guide and accommodation) and Trani (The port).

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Self drive holidays need strong attention to parking arrangements in each town. Detailed instructions/advice in advance would have improved the learning curve and reduced the stress. Telephone numbers for each accommodation would have been helpful also.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes especially in Matera where the accommodation was provided by a local family run business.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We were lucky with the November weather, it was warm and sunny all week. The Italians are charming if somewhat impatient when behind the wheel of a car. Puglia has immense history and charming town centres with lots of old architecture set in piazzas and narrow alleyways with interesting churches and good food.
