1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Visiting archaeology sites and having them explained by an excellent knowledgeable guide. Our guide was able to clearly communicate the history and complex events in the history of Sicily.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
One of the best tours I have ever done! Sicily has many facets: a long very interesting history, wonderful archaeology sites and excellent museums, great scenery and coastlines, memorable excellent cuisine with the freshest locally grown ingredients, and it’s not as expensive as many other places in Europe.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Our guide always recommended local family owned restaurants, not large touristy ones, so the money went to local Sicilians. We walked a lot to and from sites, and visited archaeology sites off the main tourist radar- thus supporting local conservation aims. Our guide encouraged us to drink the local safe water so we did not buy plastic bottles of water.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The itinerary was beyond expectations. Antonio Marretta, our Sicilian guide, was excellent with his 6-sessions talks and on-site explanations.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Yes, to a certain degree on helping the local economy.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The only benefit appeared to be spending money in restaurants/cafes.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Pretty good. Only reservation was the poor quality hotels, all of which save the last one were grim.Holiday Reviews
