1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

My wife and I really enjoyed this trip, although it was challenging at times; the challenges were always rewarded. The camel ride through the desert and the night in a tent amongst the dunes was particularly memorable.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for some challenges. A couple of the rides are tiring, and you spend a fair amount of time in the van travelling to the start of your rides, but once on the bikes, things are lovely.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, the accommodations felt local and authentic, and the guides and support staff came from the area.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was quite good. We're accustomed to self-guided cycling holidays (and enjoy the freedom they offer), but for a guided tour, this was quite good. The real challenge was the long bus rides that preceded the cycling.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Cycling through the spectacular rock formations and colours in the Atlas Mountain landscape.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Check the cycling capability of the group. A couple in the group were up to ‘challenging’ level which I would have found somewhat demoralising. I was very lucky to be able to use an e-bike because the person who had booked it was unwell and unfit to ride. Having said that, Aziz our leader allowed the group to ride at their own paces regrouping now and then.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes definitely benefited local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The holiday itinerary was very good unfortunately not the travel. I received an email from the tour operator the day before my flight saying that I did not have a transfer from Marrakesh airport to the hotel. I replied instantly that I had been promised a transfer but the email was returned as Mailer Demon failed. The queue to get through airport passport control took 3 hours on exiting I eventually found a driver who was picking up a couple on a different tour and hotel who was able to deliver me.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Cycling down the Atlas Mountain road, very exhilarating.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

This is more than a cycling holiday, it is a chance to see parts of Morocco not seen by most travellers. You have to be realistic and not expect top accommodation and food.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Explore employed (or contracted) Moroccan staff to run and support the holiday. There was limited opportunity to support local shops and restaurants, apart from those that we were guided to. We made an effort to reduce plastic waste by clubbing together to buy large containers of mineral water.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
