Reviews for Cultural history holiday in Ghana

review 10 Mar 2011

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Visiting compounds and seeing the real Ghana. Great to meet the locals and see how they lived. Also: river safari with the hippos; tree top rainforest walk; learning about the slave trade .... and much more.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be aware that there is a lot of travel by road. However, the air conditioned vehicle was great. Be willing to try the local Ghanaian food.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, there was obvious benefit to local communities as our visits were often associated with helping them financially (eco tourism). No real impact on the environment.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Really enjoyed the trip and would recommend it to others.
