Reviews for Family holiday in Thailand
Veronica Susani review 20 Apr 2017
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The most exciting parts of our holidays were the day spent at the Asian Elephant sanctuary close to Chachanaburi and witnessing two 1 year old sea turtles being released in Ko Talu.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
In April Thailand is really hot, but it's also great as there is Thai new year which is a very interesting cultural experience.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Homestaying felt like direct help to the Thai woman who welcomed us and a great way to get to know authentic thai ways of life when she took us around her neighbour to explore it and on an outing with her friend. As for environmental impact, unfortunately Thailand is very very polluted, Bangkok is appalling and we were negatively impressed by the consume of little plastic bottles for water, at a rate that would be unthinkable back home. As for supporting conservation, yes, see answer to the first question.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
