1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
There were many highlights of the Family Indian Discovery holiday... Seeing the stunning historical buildings such as the Taj Mahal in Agra and the Amber Fort in Jaipur was memorable. The two tour guides - one in the North and one in Kerala were both very knowledgeable and kind. We loved the houseboat and homestay visits in the Kerala backwaters - the nature is beautiful there. Finally, we enjoyed the family group element, particularly because the other family on our trip have a son of a similar age to our son and they got on very well.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Let the tour guides know if there is anything you are particularly interested in and they will do their best to accommodate you. In Jaipur I was keen to visit a textile museum that wasn't on the itinerary and our guide kindly arranged for a driver to drop our family near the museum after a group outing and fit it in the schedule so we could re-join the group tour later that afternoon without missing out on anything.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
In some ways - mostly the homestay in Kerala - although organised by a local agency, presumably benefitted the family we stayed with. And then eating out at local restaurants hopefully helped the local economy a bit.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was a fantastic introduction to India. I'd highly recommended this to families as it is fairly active but with a good balance of historical visits and time spent in nature.Holiday Reviews
