1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Okovango Delta in Botswana - canoe (Makoro) trip though water lillies in flower and walks on Island with local guides including seeing elephants up close.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Some long truck travel maybe something to sit on as canvas seat covers 'sticky'. If can go a day early to acclimatise. In summer don't need sleeping bag just duvet cover. Check numbers booked on trip and more than 14 would get 'crowded' for example accessing lockers at back of truck morning and evenings.The people who did outing and swam at top of Victoria Falls Devil's Gorge enjoyed it. Don't need to book optional extra outings via agent point to. Got helicopter flight over Vic Falls cheaper (more carbon footprint -once in a life time justification?). Met people travelling other way and Vic Falls down seems the better route.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We visited San people so some direct benefit. The operator support conservation through a Foundation you can support. Were compliant with non use of plastic bags. Overall of course holiday does involve long air flights if coming from other continents and long journey by truck.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very good, guide and colleagues a cook and driver / mechanic from Kenya all very good natured and kept things moving smoothly. However be prepared for early starts some before dawn so get to see sunrise and some camps with basic facilities and no running water.David Conway review 16 Jan 2020

Be prepared for quite a lot of travelling and high temperatures3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Quite a lot of money went directly in to the local community through shopping, restaurants and holiday activities. Efforts were made to reduce environmental impact by using treated water, reusable bags and producing minimal waste. Visits to parks and rescue centres supported conservation.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Hard to say. Etosha was wonderful but so was the trip to the Okavano Delta2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Imposible to pick one thing as it was 3 weeks of wall to wall fantastic experinces. Etosha NP.... Game drives & waterhole at night/early morning! An elephant suddenly looming from nowhere in the dark & playing in the water. Rhino trekking....7 just 8metres away. Awesome! Elephant encounter right in front of our vehicle! 4 hippos 10 metres in front of us. Okavango mokoro canoes & camp & tracking and amazing helicopter flight over delta (own expense). Climbing dune 45 for sunrise. There isn't room to list it all.... It was truely amazing!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don't delay... Go now before you are too old or sadly the animals gone! This rates as our top holiday we have done, equal with an Antarctica expedition! I need quiet time at home to be able to reflect on the fabulous experiences! It was out first ever camping trip (aged 67 & 62) and we thoroughly enjoyed it! A great mix of ages and nationalities and experience. Superb leaders. Brilliant cook on our trip and excellent food (sirloin & fillet & t bone steaks AND we also had a refund on the kitty!) Being practical....if you have delicate hands like us, a pair of light gardening gloves really helped! Make sure you have a good zoom camera... We bought a new one en route! Try a monocular if you can't use binoculars (great for us). You will be amazed how early you want to go to bed! But DO go to the water holes at night/early morning as it is amazing & you will have missed unforgettable memories! Take neutral colours & quick drying clothes.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. Stayed on a San People site and had a guided talk/walk. Local people took us in the mokoros canoes & looked after us. Own our rhino trekking guide explained how deliberately cutting rhinos horn once ever 10 yrs would save them from poachers (horn is keratin like our nails so not painful). Some of these magnificent beats may not exist for our children/grandchildren to see. We have been very privileged indeed.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing! Brilliant! Wonderful! Unforgettable! Awesome! Inspiring! We feel very privileged. We quickly became a friendly family, caring for & helping each other. Don't stick to your allocated tasks only... give a hand if something needs doing, you will all benefit. Be part of the team!
