1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The most memorable part is the amount of curiosity we aroused wherever we went - people were interested to see us and wanted to talk to us - and have their photos taken with us. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the peacefulness of the waterways (a contrast to the roads!) and visiting the small villages.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

You need stamina - there are some very long days of travelling. Also not advised if you're nervous in traffic - the roads can be very busy and driving somewhat hair-raising.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very interesting and enjoyable.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Finding a recent tiger paw print in the mud and some on the beach as well. Never saw the elusive tiger itself but at least we knew at least one had been around recently! Also seeing otters, monkeys, kingfishers and woodpeckers as well as a variety of other birds on our boat trip in the Sundaurbans.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Expect lots of very friendly Bangladesh people to want to talk to you and practice their English! Order your food early as it takes a while to cook, which is a good sign that it's fresh and worth the wait.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The trip on the Rocket Steamer and afterwards smaller boat around the Sunderbans

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared and be patient when schedule cannot be adhered to. Our flight from Chittagong kept being cancelled where we waited from 4 pm until 9pm; eventually a minibus had to be hired to drive us all the way to Dhaka taking nearly 6 hours during the night. We had another 3 hours to wait at Jessor. Also, right at the beginning, because of the haj gathering in Dhaka, our trip was re-scheduled which meant missing ou Chittagong. However, we managed to persuade the tour operator to divert us from Cox's Bazar to Chittagong overland rather than fly out from CB to Dhaka.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, everyone around us were very aware of the environmental issues and it was impressive to see that hardly any plastic bags were being used. Everywhere could be seen brown paper bags being carried around.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Considering very few tourists go to Bangladesh, it was surprising to find that accommodation and food was up to good standard. Rooms were clean and everywhere they made sure that mosquito sprays were used before bedtime. Also there were no signs of creepy-crawlies or mice around all the premises we stayed in.
