1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Being in nature and the extraordinary views - Scots pines, heather, mountains, rivers, lochs, and lochens. Abernethy Forest early morning was magical.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Do hill-walking before the trip.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we kept a strict "leave no trace" rule while hiking, we were educated about conservation and re-wilding efforts, and we stayed in locally-owned B&Bs/ate in locally-owned restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Good. Our guide, Peter Myers, was flexible, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. A suggestion for improvement: have the guide pick us up in Aberdeen or Inverness, rather than having the meet-up/drop-off in Aviemore. Getting to/from Aviemore was especially tiring for and not easy on international travellers. Also - start the week of hiking with easier walks, then build up to the more strenuous ones.Marylyn Munden review 8 May 2022
