Thanks for your review! We are really glad you enjoyed your holiday in the Lofoten Isles :)
By choosing to explore the islands by bike rather than car you help reduce the environmental impact on the area. Tourism is also a big part of the livelihood there so your visit benefit local people in that way.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The rides, scenery and meeting other like-minded fellow travellers. Good and interesting accommodation.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Make sure you have warm clothes and good waterproofs. Expect to have to look after yourself - there is no guide with you or on site. Trust that baggage will be transferred as agreed.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It benefited local people living in a challenging place. Better than getting around by coach or motorhome.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Really enjoyed the trip. Initially too little information was given. The first hotel had no idea about baggage pick up or self made lunches from breakfast buffet. This was sorted and I gained confidence that all would be done as stated. I was disappointed that no gpx tracks were available for the cycle rides. Other companies have always done this - although with so few roads on Lofoten this was less necessary.Read the operator's response here:
Thank you for your review!
We are very sorry you experienced poor knowledge at the first accommodation regarding lunch and baggage transfer. We have sent the hotel updated information to better prepare them for the next travelers arriving. Unfortunately, everything has been down for two years with the pandemic, and so it takes a bit of time to get everything up and running smoothly again.
As for the lack of information, we did send the agency that sold you the tour information ahead. I hope you got everything from them.
Bikemap.net has GPX tracks and an app, but you must sign up for Bikemap Premium to get the offline GPX files. Click on GPX on the website (Bikemap) to get the directions.
Otherwise, you must navigate online with your smartphone.
Anyway, we are happy you enjoyed the nature and rides, and hope to see you back on one of our other tours in the future!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Tide water and mountins up under the Clouds. Nice (some at least) fichermans cabins2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Dont bike in the tunnels. You dont need to do. But signs and maps dont tell you that. Get a mirror for your bike. Cars, buses, tourists ride too close. Roads even this EU road 10 is too narrow. Even "no meeting" on some places.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Hardly. The people in the hotels and restaurant were not Norvigians, but Danish, Swedish or others.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very good. With some corrections it would be perfect.Simon Storvik review 16 Jun 2015
