1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Obviously the nature is going to be up there! Especially seeing elephants swim in Kinabatangan River, but rafting down the rainforest-lined river on a bamboo raft, then stopping for lunch cooked on a BBQ and in bamboo tubes has possibly overtaken it!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Prepare for the humidity by taking as many moisture wicking clothes that you can find!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
100%! Where possible all parts of the trip involved locals. We had numerous tasty lunches cooked by locals, our bamboo rafters were locals and tour guides were native to Borneo. I highly recommend adding on to your trip as much culture as possible, such as the Peraya Bidayuh Homestay, Rungus Longhouse and Tip of Borneo. Everyone is Borneo is so welcoming and friendly, with a rich culture.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely incredible. A must visit country with so much to offer - from nature and animals, to culture, to architecture, beaches and stunning landscapes. Would recommend to anyone. Seeing wild oragutans and proboscis monkeys (not to mention bearded pigs, monitor lizards, vipers and tarantulas).2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Go further upriver to Sukau to increase the chance of seeing elephants.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
