1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The most exciting part was seeing the Pyramids and the Sphinx. We had a fabulous guide, Hodu who was extremely knowledgeable and managed to get us through all the queues really quickly. The views around the Pyramids were just breath taking and she also took some very good photos for us.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We did find the two days sight seeing was quite tiring, its an early start to miss the traffic which was horrendous but if you book this trip it is to see all the fabulous sights of Cairo. We chose not to do the third day in Alexandria and instead relaxed by the pool which was lovely.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The tour guide did try to benefit the local people by taking us into shops that we didnt really want to go in, we felt uncomfortable and pressured into buying when we didnt really want to.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was an excellent break to see fabulous sights, with hindsight I wished I had booked an extra day to relax before flying home!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Walking the Giza pyramids, solar boat and sphinx, but difficult to choose as the stepped pyramid, Egyptian museum and old Cairo were also quite special and our guide was good.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Think of your preferences. We were pressed to take a ride into the desert for a classic view and are pleased that we insisted instead to walk around more pyramids. Insist on a small, locally run hotel. we do not regard a vast American-owned clone either socially appropriate or a valid Cairo experience. Very loud unauthentic music in the hotel lounge was also not welcome.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Only marginally. It was good that the guiding company is local, but the plastic wrapped hotels had no more than token environmental provision. The smaller of the two was at least Egyptian owned, and had some local food but the experience was "international".

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We saw some fantastic things and we guided well, but were unhappy that the hotels has poor environmental and social standards.
