Description of Walking the traditional paths of Mani, Greece
Mani, a region of untamed beauty and history, located at the central peninsula of Southern Peloponnese awaits you to explore it during this self-guided hiking tour.
Great beaches like Foneas beach with cool, transparent, and azure waters, Diros Caves with their hidden secrets and the monastery of Our Lady of Healing (Panagia Giatrissa in Greek) are a couple of the highlights along the diverse nature.
The traditional architecture of the stone tower houses and the historic significance of Kardamyli, house of British travel writer and scholar Patrick Leigh Fermor and Areopoli, which was the starting point of the Greek revolution against the Ottomans in 1821 will surely make you fall in love with these places and immerse yourself in the Maniot culture.

CARBON REDUCTIONDuring the whole trip, our guests will be moving from one place to the other by walking and any transfers during the tour will be shared. As for their arrival, we will advise them to opt for direct flights to Kalamata airport, which is a very short drive to the city of Kalamata. Encouraged by our company, they will use their own reusable water bottles, avoiding buying plastic water bottles, as it is important to have their own supplies during the hike. Lastly, the breakfast served, includes a variety of local and traditional products like lalagia, Maniot fried dough strips – and upon request there can be offered options for vegeterian or vegan breakfast.
