Greece walking holiday with beaches

Description of Greece walking holiday with beaches
This week long, tailor made Greece walking holiday has a very local feel to it, exploring the stunning island, of Karpathos, the second largest island Dodecanese. We are a small company and happy to tailor this holiday to suit your interests and needs, as well as provide the services of our fabulously informed local guide. We are very committed to ecotourism on our precious island, and hope to share as many aspects of it as possible during your week here. As well as our neighbouring Saria Island, which we visit for a day of walking and snorkelling around its crystal clear waters.
Karpathos is located between Rhodes and Crete in the Aegean Sea and the northern part of the island, along with Saria, is a Natura 2000 protected reserve which is totally unspoilt as a result, with wonderful trekking paths to help us explore. The protected area of Karpathos also includes over fifty square kilometres of sea, this maritime zone being Greece’s most recent marine park. Which is why we fit in plenty of snorkelling and swimming here which, as you can imagine, is pretty spectacular.
In terms of flora and fauna, there are many wonderful aspects to explore here too, from the endangered monk seal to many gorgeous flowers such as wild Allium or Paeonia. Our guide is a also font of knowledge in local plant life. We are very committed to eating local produce, enjoying small tavernas off the tourist trail, and also show you how to prepare local produce during your stay. All in all, we hope to share the sights, sounds, sands and seas of our beloved Karpathos, because we feel it is a very special place.
